There have been "dirty" records since the dawn of the recording industry, but the introduction of the long-playing album ushered in the era of 1950's-'60s "party" records, a small sampling of which are featured here. Lyrics would become much more explicit in later years, but these fun sing-along records dealt more with double-entendre than vulgarity. You had to be somewhat witty and clever to both make and understand these songs - a lost art? Liquor in the front, poker in the rear!
